Apartment Review
The best value in the area, and a GREAT place to l
Review Date: 6/6/2005 Reviewer: Anonymous
I lived in Randolph Towers for two years, and I absolutely loved it. Don't be fooled because it's older than most buildings in Ballston -- I had friends who lived in the more expensive Lincoln Towers and Meridian at Ballston, and I say without hesitation that my living experience was MUCH better. They had plumbing issues, management issues, constant maintenance projects, you name it. Not ONCE did I have anything malfunction in my apartment -- Except to have one lightbulb burn out. I called it in, and when I got home from work that night it was replaced. The building is spotlessly clean, the front desk personnel is helpful, and the apartments are large and well laid-out. See if you can get an apartment on the 20th floor -- we had chair railing and crown molding, which gave the apartment a very "homey" feeling (as opposed to the plain white box). The building's a good mix of young students, families, and older people, and I never had problems with noise. The gym is so-so, but the full-size pool is ideal if you enjoy swimming for exercise. My roommate and I both got parking in a tandem space inside the building after a 10-month wait, but we saved lots of money by sharing a tandem space (for the 1st 10 months we took the free spot and shared the cost of garaging the other car in Ballston). I loved it, loved it, loved it! |
