Apartment Review for Riverhouse - Arlington, VA

My wife and I have lived in the James since January 05. We thought it was a decent place until the roof work started in June. It is now December, and work on the roof is still on-going. The noise is treacherous, if not downright inhumane, and the management of Riverhouse do not seem to care about the effect it has on its tennants. On several occasions I have spoken with Bruce MacQueen and Anthony Smith (Property and Building Managers, respectively) and all they have fed us is a "I feel your pain" response. I have demanded at least one month's free rent, so bad is the noise, but the managers have said they would only be able to offer us 'something', meaning far less than what is due.

I do not recommend this apartment to anyone, look elsewhere, e.g. Crystal Plaza.
