Apartment Review
Not worth the price

There are a lot of nicer, newer apartment buildings in the area (or even the greater Washington DC area). Also, in this economy, a lot of places are offering two month rent free. These apartments would be great if the rent was reduced by a couple hundred a month and included utilities. The utilities are submetered so you pay a portion of whatever the utilities are for the entire building and I have NEVER paid this much in utilities in other apartments with individual meters. We pay for outside, non-garage parking and sometimes you really have to look to find a spot. The overall condition of the apartment is old and they can't have a/c and heat on at the same time so when the season changes, there are always some really hot or really cold days until they decide to switch. I haven't had any problems with mice/roaches like other people have but I did have a really bad mold problem when my a/c unit leaked. Having one laundry building in a 500 unit building is annoying and it seems like EVERYONE is doing laundry on sunday so it is sometimes difficult to find a washer or dryer. The gym for the Potomac building is shared with the building next door. The gym is usually packed and one piece of equipment or other is usually broken. But, it is 3 ellipticals, 2 treadmills, 2 bikes, 2 stairmasters shared between two buildings each with 16 floors and probably about 20-30 apartment units on each floor. |
