Apartment Review for Sheffield Courts - Arlington, VA

If you plan to live here, make sure you're well insured. The staff moved my roommate and I into a new, 2-bedroom apartment that was infested with roaches. They got into all of my stuff and I am still contending with the office to get a refund for all the time I spent not living in the apt as well as my cleaning bills. The current residents of that building are now having similar problems with roaches from what they told me. After a week and a half of displacement, I was moved to another new apartment. Everything seemed in order until I turned on the oven for the first time. Within two minutes the apartment was filling up with black smoke from a fire that began under the oven in the broiler. The fire marshal said the prior tenant could have been storing plastics in the broiler. Not smart, but whose responsibility was it to make sure it was removed before the next renter turned it on? Good thing the prior tenant didn't leave an aerosol can down there. Again, I would not suggest living here. I have to replace many of my belongings and the management has not compensated me at all for my loss. I have since moved and live in a nice apartment that is well-maintained.
