Management needs work
Review Date: 6/13/2008 Reviewer: Anonymous
The location is good; the ground are attractive, and the apartments are decent (though I would not call them luxery units). The management has really gone downhill, however. Other than emergencies, maintenance is very slow about answering service requests. I had a non-functional light, a leaky dishwasher, and a broken front door for months, just to give you a few examples. Management is also distinctly unfriendly and often inappropriate. Although many of the support staff and assistants in the office are very nice, the manager of the complex tends to be difficult to deal with (attempted surprise inspections, rude comments, invasion of privacy, etc). All in all, I am happy to be out of the place. Also, although the complex allows pets, I would not consider them pet friendly. Management is generally unwilling to accomodate pets during maintenance visits, and management also harasses tenants about normal pet issues. For example, once during a surprise inspection, the manager found a wet spot where my dog had vomited and I had cleaned it (ther spot was still wet from an enzyme cleaner I use), and he accused me of violating my lease. I expect better from a pet-friendly complex. Fort Georgetown was a nice place to live for years, so if management changes, I would really consider the place, but I would be weary of the place under the current management. |
