Apartment Review for Wildwood Park Apartments - Arlington, VA

I have been living in this apartment complex for about a year. Although there is a 24-hour desk service, the staff is consistently rude and does not appear to care about the needs of the tenants. I recently needed a temporary parking pass due to the fact that my previous car was totalled and it was necessary for me to purchase a new car. I attempted to get my temporary pass renewed after two weeks, thinking that I still had time to obtain my decal, I was told that the property operates under its own rules separate from Arlington County (which allows residents 60 days to get a decal) and that since I did not have the decal at the time I must pay $5 for a temporary pass to park MY car in the lot of the apartment complex I have a lease with, each night. When I attempted to explain my situation, the front desk supervisor would not give me the respect to speak to me face to face and instead had an intermediary running back and forth. I only requested one more week of a parking pass so that I would be able to obtain my decal, which I felt was deserved since I AM A RENT PAYING TENANT. When I called Dittmar Company to explain my situation, I was told that the front desk agent had lied to the company and said that the situation had been going on for 60 days, when I had bought the car ONE MONTH AGO. When I tried to explain this to the individual at headquarters, she would not listen to me and told me the only thing I could do is write a letter and hope that I would get positive response. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I was not asking for any extra services, only for a parking pass that was put in the terms of the lease. I do not recommend renting at this property if you would like to work with a front desk staff that actually cares about the needs of the tenant.
